Rotary is built upon fellowship and friendship enhanced by regular attendance at Club meetings. Among busy people, sometimes it is difficult to attend the weekly meeting. Members can "make-up" at another Rotary Club either during the two weeks before or the two weeks following the missed meeting, or by electronically attending an "e-Club" Meeting, or by attending a committee or other scheduled meeting of club members. For more information about making up a meeting online, click here.
Attending a "make-up" meeting while out of town, or in town but not nearby your "home club's" meeting location, is generally easy as there are over 33,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide, and over 55 clubs in the Puget Sound area. The times and places of club meetings are listed in the directory available to every club member and are also available on Rotary International's website.
Apart from regular meetings, Rotarians are expected to take an active role in their clubs, as there are always many opportunities for service at the club board or committee level. These opportunities will vary from club to club but they provide Rotarians with opportunities for growth in leadership and service.
